Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Preparedness

A Letter from Our Owner

Church Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is taking measures to ensure we are protecting our team members, their families, and our customers to the greatest extent possible, while also balancing the need to continue to deliver our services to those who are relying on us to help them maintain the health, safety and comfort of their homes and businesses.

We are following guidance from the CDC and the Indiana Department of Health to limit unnecessary close contact.  While we are scheduling service calls and installation projects as we normally do, we are asking our customers to schedule non-urgent calls and projects once more is known.  For urgent and emergency situations where a visit to your home or business is needed, we are taking the following precautions to protect both our employees and our customers:

  1. Limit close contact and maintaining social distance.  This includes not shaking hands.  The CDC recommends maintaining at least six feet of separation between individuals when social interaction is necessary (i.e., like during a service appointment).
  2. Let us know if someone in your home, work or someone you’ve had close contact with has displayed flu-like symptoms.  In this situation, we would ask that you sequester the person away from work areas.
  3. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.  Our technicians will also wear protective gloves when needed to guard against cross contamination.
  4. Wash hands frequently.  The CDC has advised that washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself.  Our technicians will wash their hands before and after every service call.

Rest assured that we are continuing to monitor guidance from the CDC and Indiana Department of Health as the situation develops.  And, as always, we are here to help you in any way that we can.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Church, Owner & General Manager
